President suggests advisory board in FATA health, education departments

President Mamnoon Hussain Friday called for dedicated efforts for improving health and education facilities in FATA and establishment of advisory board in departments concerned to improve the performance.

The president said this while chairing a briefing on matters of education and health in Khyber and Bajaur Agencies at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, here.

Secretary SAFRON Khalid Pervez, Additional Chief Secretary FATA Muhammad Aslam Kamboh, Secretary Social Sector FATA Syed Waqar-ul-Hassan and political agents of Khyber and Bajaur agencies were also present during the briefing.

The president stated that in order to improve the education and health sectors, it was necessary that government servants discharged this work with professional responsibility considering it as a sacred duty.

The president directed the authorities concerned to provide better facilities to teachers, doctors and allied staff working in the fields of education and health.

In this regard, new package should be introduced so that there was availability of good teachers, doctors and allied staff in tribal areas, he added.

He also directed to end discriminatory treatment in facilities available to government servants.

He further said that measures should be taken to increase the enrolment of students in schools so that maximum children could acquire education.

The president said that he would increase his frequency of visits to tribal areas to keep abreast with the situation there and resolve the problems.
