ICT admin abandons website?

The official website of the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration contains outdated information in the sections of its campaigns and press releases due to less frequency of updating information.

The Article 19-A of the Constitution of Pakistan says that every citizen shall have the right to access to information in all matters of public importance, subject to regulation and reasonable restrictions imposed by law and it was inserted through 18th Amendment in 2010.

On visiting the website www.ictadministration.gov.pk, one comes to know that it is the outdated website as it does have any appropriate information about the ongoing campaign of district administration in various areas.

The only detail about ICT campaign is about preventing, controlling and containing the Dengue Fever in ICT which was started in 2011.

There is only one press release on this official website with date June 19 mentioned on it and it cannot be even accessed.

There are more than dozen offices in ICT administration but only three contact numbers of various offices including DC Office Control Room, Deputy Commissioner and Chief Commissioner Offices have been given.

In an icon `About ICTA’, the wrong information has been provided about rural union councils and described 12 UCs in Islamabad instead of 17.

Though it has details about the attached departments of Chief Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner Office but no profiles of Islamabad district bosses have been maintained.
