10 outlaws, 37 beggars held in capital

Islamabad Police have arrested 10 outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered hashish and stolen property from their possession, a police spokesman said.

According to details, Shalimar police arrested Mohsin and recovered 230 kg of hashish. Shams Colony police arrested an Afghan national Manzar Khan for his illegal stay in country. Khana police arrested a drug pusher Anwarzada and recovered 1.150 kilogram hashish from him.

Sihala police arrested Imtiaz for his alleged involvement in theft. Lohibher police arrested a drug pusher Dawood Khan and recovered 1.260 kg hashish from him. Secretariat police arrested four impersonators Mudssar Khan, Awais, Hussain and Asad Majeed and recovered revolving light and green number plate from their car (MN-098).

Cases have been registered against the accused and further investigation is underway.

Meanwhile 37 professional alm-seekers were also arrested and action has been initiated against them. SSP Islamabad has appreciated this overall performance and directed all police officials to ensure effective policing measures in the city and curb activities of anti-social elements.
