A woman and her two daughters were shot dead allegedly by a step-son, in the jurisdiction of Sadar police station here on Wednesday.
In-charge police post Khannuana Syed Nasir Shah said that Ali Abbas Kharl, a resident Chak No. 239-RB got infuriated when his step mother Memona Zahid exchanged harsh words with him over some domestic dispute.
In a fit of rage, the youth opened fire at his step mother and her daughters.
As a result, Memona Zahid, 42, and her two daughters Masooma, 24, and Farwa, 22, received serious bullet injuries in their heads and died on the spot. The accused fled the scene.
On receiving information, the police reached the spot and sent bodies to mortuary for postmortem. Police are looking into the matter.
