SC moved for introducing uniform education system in country

Petition has been filed seeking orders for introduction of uniform education system all over the country.

A constitutional petition was filed under article 184(3) of the constitution by Advocate Kokab Iqbal on Tuesday in SC. Cabinet division secretary, secretary CADD and all the four provincial education secretaries have been made respondents in the petition.

The petitioner took the plea that uniform education system be enforced in the country, the uniform syllabus and education system should be based in Urdu, all the aspects including Islamic values and ideology of Pakistan should be protected, the existing curriculum is alien to fundamental rights of the people.

He further said in his petition that the chapters on Khalid Bin Walid, Muhammad Bin Qasim and Tipu Sultan, poetry of Allama Iqbal and speeches of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah have been excluded from the current syllabus.

  1. Much appreciated move…After a long time we heard such good new. Yes i agree that a uniform education system should be adopted for whole country. Issue about syllabus we have to go with whole world and teach English and Urdu, so we can compete and communicate outside.
