Khuhro rules out any forward bloc in PPP in Sindh

Sindh Minister for Education and Parliamentary Affairs Nisar Ahmed Khuhro said on Wednesday that there was no ‘forward bloc’ in the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) in Sindh.

Some people might dream to make a forward bloc in the PPP, but this had nothing to do with reality, he said while talking to media persons at the Sindh Assembly building.

He said the opposition’s alliances were also formed in the past but they proved a failure. The PPP would not be affected by any opposition alliance made against it, he claimed.

He said the Sindh government was neither against the Karachi operation nor it had any difference with the federal government on the ongoing operation in the city. All the political parties had consensus to take action against terrorism, target killing and extortion of money, he said, adding the provincial government of Sindh had objection on Rangers’ powers of having anyone’s custody for 90 days without first informing the Sindh government. Khuhro said they would discuss the issue of the powers of Rangers with Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on his visit to Karachi.
