Kashmiris living on both sides of the Line of Control and across the world on Tuesday observed the right to self-determination day.

The day was observed by the Kashmiris to draw the world’s attention towards the longstanding Kashmir dispute and press their demand for the implementation of United Nations Security Council resolutions passed on 5 January 1949.

Various functions, seminars and rallies were held in Azad and Indian occupied Kashmir and across the world, including Pakistan.

In Muzaffarabad, a rally was taken out from Central Press Club under the auspices of Kashmir Liberation Cell. The participants of the rally marched towards UN Observers Mission and handed over a memorandum calling for fulfilling the promise.

Azad Kashmir Radio also aired special programmes to highlight the significance of the day.
