Advisor to Prime the Minister Irfan Siddiqui Wednesday said that nations, who were alive, always accorded importance to their educational, literary and cultural heritage.

Youth should acquaint themselves with the teachings and principles of Allama Muhammad Iqbal and Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah to inculcate in themselves the feelings of love for the nation and the country, he added.

He was speaking at an introductory meeting with the staff of newly created National History and Literary Heritage Division.

Irfan Siddiqui directed the staff to work with dedication for an organized functioning of educational and literary organisations in the country.

“We should work pro-actively to promote Urdu as the national language,” he said and added that the related departments would have to channelize their efforts in this regard.

Irfan Siddique directed educational, literary and research organisations, part of his division, to utilize their energies and work with renewed vigour and approach to fullfil the aims for which they were established.

Secretary Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Saba Mohsin was also present on the occasion.
