Stranded dolphin released into Indus

A blind dolphin stranded in a creek was released into the River Indus near Thatta on Monday.

Reportedly, locals spotted a blind dolphin stranded in shallow water of Gharo creek on Saturday, some 40 kilometers from Thatta. However, some people injured the dolphin when they beat it up with sticks. These people fled when environment-friendly persons rushed to the spot to save the precious dolphin who was later safely released into the River Indus. No case was filed against the people involved in hurting the dolphin.
