Pakistan and Sri Lanka on Tuesday signed 8 different Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) in various fields of Science, Technology, Health, Education and Trade at Presidential Palace in Colombo Sri Lanka.
“Pakistan and Sri Lankan ties are based on respect and both have the same stance on the regional and international matters,” Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said while addressing the event.
“Both countries have excellent ties and both want to enhance these in the future as well,” he added.
PM is on a three-day visit to Sri Lanka. On Tuesday he led a delegation-level meeting with Sri Lankan President in the President House and discussed betterment of bilateral ties
Nawaz Sharif reached the President House where he was recieved by President Maithripala Sirisena. Nawaz Sharif was given gun-salute on his arrival. An extravagant welcoming ceremony was organised in Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s honour.
