Provincial Minister for Education Rana Mashhood has said that Pakistani youth have won laurels throughout the world by the dint of their talent.
He said the Punjab government has brought fore the talent and expertise of the nation by adopting the policy of merit and transparency in every sector of life including education and sports. He said a team of girl and boy students having expertise in preparation of Pakistani foods will raise Pakistani flag high in international competitions, launched from the platform of College of Tourism and Hotel Management. He said that preparations have been completed for holding national food championship in Pakistan next year.
He expressed these views while addressing launching ceremony of National Culinary team of Pakistan under the aegis of College of Tourism and Hotel Management on Tuesday.
Chef Association of Pakistan Secretary General Ahmed Shafique, Waqar Ilyas Khan, Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Shami and other speakers also spoke on the occasion. Membership certificates were given to 12-member team nominated for participation in international culinary competitions. He said that there is no dearth of talent and capabilities in Pakistani youth, when they get opportunity, they win laurels for the country all over the country. He said that 1,200,000 job opportunities will be created for youth due to the CPEC. Similarly, he said that there will be need of two million skilled persons in Middle East during next four years. He said that we should teach and train Pakistani youth in the light of these opportunities. He said that Punjab government is running the biggest school education system of the world where free education is provided to children. He said Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif is personally monitoring education roadmap. He said that Britain has signed agreements for investment of 500 million pounds.
