Calls to enhance trade for betterment of economy; says govt focusing on improving investment environment;
Federal Minister for Finance, Revenue and Economic Affairs Senator Ishaq Dar said on Monday that quality and standard is an important performance exponent and basic differentiator of business strategies for products and services.
In his message on the occasion of distribution ceremony of 5th Quality Standard Award 2015, organised by The Consumers Eye Pakistan (TCEP), the finance minister praised the role of Quality Standard Awards in making the business community of Pakistan aware of the importance of quality and standards for consumer satisfaction.
Dar congratulated the awardees of 5th Quality Standard Award for their superior products and services. He said that the government was focusing on improving investment climate in the country.
“Quality and standard is an important performance exponent and basic differentiator of business strategies for products and services. Quality Standard Awards are playing an important role in making the business community of Pakistan aware of the importance of Quality and Standards for consumer satisfaction,” he said.
Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) Vice President Waseem Vohra as chief guest of the ceremony appreciated the organisers and extended full support of the FPCCI to the management of Quality Standard. He congratulated the winners for their unrelenting struggle making their products and services an outstanding success for their customers.
Chairman of The Consumers Eye Pakistan, Umar Ghauri in his keynote speech thanked honourable guests and congratulated the award winners. He said that the QS-Award is a tribute to businesses that care about quality and maintain standard at the highest level in Pakistan.
Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority (PSQCA) BoD Member Engr M. A. Jabbar highlighted the importance of Standards and working of PSQCA. He appreciated organisers of Quality Standard Award and assured them of his full cooperation. Deputy Commissioner Malir Deedar Hussain Baloch on behalf of the Karachi commissioner appreciated the activities of Quality Standard Award and assured his full support.

Turkish Ambassador Sadiq Babur Girgin was also awarded for his services towards Pakistan’s development; his award was received by his Protocol Secretary Ali Himayon.

Quality Standard Award mega award distribution ceremony was attended by government officials, representatives from corporate sector, print and electronic media personnel, members of business community from FPCCI, KCCI, KATI and representatives of NGO’s volunteers among many others.
