A notification regarding the election of former president Asif Ali Zardari as Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians (PPPP) president has not been issued even after a week after some senior party members expressed their reservation against the election.
Senior party leadership has expressed reservation over electing Zardari as the president of PPPP, a source in the party told Online.
The PPP Central Executive Committee elected Zardari as president of the party. The president seat had fallen vacant after the death of Makhdoom Amin Fahim. The source said that Zardari has summoned senior party leaders to Dubai to remove their reservation.
