Huge quantity of wine seized in various raids

Police have arrested nine outlaws from various areas of Islamabad and recovered wine, heroin, weapons and stolen property from their possession on Sunday.

A police spoken person told the media that a team of Tarnol police station raided ‘New Abadi Sangjani’ and arrested a bootlegger for having 640 litre wine, 14 plastic cane, two sacks of wine bottles.

A car bearing registration number LEA-6445 was also recovered during this raid.

The nabbed person was identified as Noman khan s/o Naseer-ud-Din resident of district Haripur.

Under the supervision of AC Shalimar, another police team raided in sector F-11/1 in the house of Malik Tariq and recovered 1,779 wine bottles, 666 cans of beer and 740 liter wine.

Further-more Karachi Company police arrested Ikhaq, Zulfqar, Nadeem Ejaz and recovered two 30 bore pistols along with ammunition from their possession.

Sabzi Mandi police arrested a drug pusher Safdar and recovered 120 gram heroin from him.

Police also arrested accused Shahbaz and recovered stolen mobile phone.

Shams- Colony police apprehended Said Rehman involved in decanting gas in cylinder illegally.

A police team also arrested two afghan nationals namely Awal Gul and Bakhati Khan for their illegal stay in country.

Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them.
