Gang-rape case: Physical remand of suspects extended for 3 days


Physical remand of suspects involved in gang-rape of student was extended for three more days.

All the eight suspects involved in gang rape of a girl in Lahore were presented before Cantt court.

Earlier, Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has formed a medical board to examine gang rape victim’s condition after she was admitted to a hospital.

The 14-year-old student’s condition had worsened and she was admitted to a hospital. The chief minister has formed a four-member medical team to examine the victim. On the other hand, court has granted time till January 6 for the victim to record her statement.

Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has summoned another report in the class-8 student’s rape issue.

In the last hearing, plaintiff’s counsel stated that his client is in state of shock and is not able to record her statement. He had requested the court to grant time in the matter. Meanwhile, law enforcers had requested the court to extend remand of the accused arrested in the case.
