2 coffins brought from Malaysia changed at Lahore airport

The coffins of two dead bodies, which were brought from Malaysia, were changed at Allama Iqbal International Airport here on Sunday.

According to reports, the coffin boxes of two deceased, Umair Farood, a resident of Khanewal and Laik Khan of Peshawar, were brought from Malaysia. The coffins mistakenly changed as the body of Umair was handed to the family of Laik Khan and that of Laik to the family of Umair.

Both the families found that they were delivered wrong bodies at their native cities. They contacted the Malaysian authorities which informed them that the coffins were changed at the airport.

It may be added that deceased Umair Farooq was working in traffic police of Malaysia where he died in a road accident three day ago.
