The provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has approved the construction of a new building which will incorporate 350 beds, 40 operating rooms, four post-operator care units, Pathology department, Central sterilizer supply department, cafeteria and auditorium in Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) Peshawar.
The approval was given in a meeting by Senior Minister for Health, Shahram Khan Taraki with chairman, board of governors, Medical Teaching Institute, LRH, Professor Dr. Nosheriwan Burki here on Wednesday.
Secretary health KP, XEN C&W and officials of other concerned departments were also present on the occasion. The project will be completed in six months.
Proved beyond doubt that honest and dedicated leadership is the need of the hour. At least one Province has taken the lead and others to follow. Not that there are no hospitals or health facilities in other Provinces, but they are beyond the reach of a common man. All talk loud of 'welfare' of people but none acts and act honestly. Start a project and ALL involved think of their share first. So far so nice. God bless you KP.
It such a great thing to allow construction for 350 beds building. It will help accommodate a lot of people and families.
