An investigation report into the death of 10-month-old Bisma, who apparently died due to the security protocol for PPP leaders at the civil hospital in Karachi, gave a clean chit to PPP leaders, sources said on Monday.
Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah had directed the DIG South District last week to investigate the circumstances that led to the child’s death.
A report has been prepared and will be submitted to Shah soon.
According to sources, police report says that Bisma didn’t die due to Bilawal Bhutto’s protocol. The child succumbed to her death due to some measles complications.
On December 24, PPP leaders, including Bilawal Bhutto and CM Sindh Qaim Ali Shah, were present inside the hospital to inaugurate a trauma centre when the tragedy occurred.
The baby‘s father, Faisal, a resident of Lyari alleged that he was unable to bring the child to the hospital in time due to the strict security protocol around the hospital.
