Three suspected militants killed in Kech district

Security forces claimed to have killed at least three suspected militants, including a militant commander in Balochistan’s Kech district on Tuesday.

“Security forces launched a search operation against terrorists in Tump area of Kech district,” said Khan Wasey, a spokesman for the Frontier Corps (FC).

“Three terrorists were killed during an exchange of fire with security forces,” he said, adding that the terrorists had recently targeted a school in the area with a hand grenade. Weapons and ammunition were also seized by the security forces.

In another incident, one FC official was killed while two personnel were wounded in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast near a vehicle in Mastung district on Tuesday.

A security personnel said that terrorists targeted a FC vehicle which had been providing water to checkposts through an IED.

The injured soldiers were rushed to Quetta for medical treatment. No individual or group has taken responsibility for the attack.
