Prime Minister’s Youth Programme Chairperson Leila Khan said on Tuesday that socio-economic development of youth and resolving problems faced by the young generation which is the future of Pakistan is among the top priorities of the incumbent government.
She was speaking in a meeting with a delegation of government of Sindh, which included special secretary Education and special secretary Sports and Youth Affairs of the government of Sindh at the PM’s Office held in order to brief them about federal government’s socio-economic development initiatives for youth in Sindh, launched under the umbrella of Prime Minister’s Youth Programme.
“Federal Government is running six schemes under Prime Minister’s Youth Programme,” the chairperson said. “These schemes include Prime Minister’s Youth Business Loan Scheme, Prime Minister’s Interest Free Loan Scheme, Prime Minister’s Youth Skill Development Programme, Prime Minister’s Youth Laptop Scheme, Prime Minister’s Fee Reimbursement Scheme, and Prime Minister’s Youth Training Scheme,” she said.
“Youth in Sindh is benefitting substantially from all these schemes of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme,” the chairperson said. “However, there is a dire need to launch a proactive awareness campaign for the youth to benefit as much as possible from these socio-economic interventions of the federal government.”
The visiting delegation praised the job being done by the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme chairperson and her team in implementing the vision of the prime minister for the socio-economic development of people, especially the youth. They noted that the programmes provided encouraging environment through its various initiatives. They thanked the chairperson for taking them on board on all these developments, and assured her of their continuous commitment for successful implementation of the programme in their areas.
