Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Parliamentary Leader in the Senate Senator Saeed Ghani on Monday submitted a resolution against the Ordinance regarding Pakistan International Airlines (PIA)’s corporatisation.
The resolution contains signatures of 51 Senators belonging to different parties. Senators from PPP, MQM, ANP, PTI, PML-Q, PKMAP, JI and Independent Group have signed the resolution which reads: “Under sub-paragraph (ii) of paragraph (a) of clause (2) of Article 89 of the constitution, 1973, this House disapproves the Ordinance titled “The Pakistan International Airlines Corporation (Conversion)) Ordinance, 2015 (Ordinance No. XVII of 2015).”
