The other day I happened to stumble upon a news item that showed the wrath and dangerous volatility of union protestors at the main data centre and Situation Room at PIA headquarters. It is rather deplorable to see that these individuals in the heat of their protest are oblivious to the danger they posed to national assets, not to mention to the each and every human figure present in the premises.
No matter what the rationale of the protest is, plugging out cables and shutting their computer systems is not acceptable under any circumstances.
This appalling incident not only resulted in inconvenience to common Pakistanis, but also reflected the lack of care for a sensitive installation. Those cables pulled by the antagonised mob resulted in suspension of airline’s online system for three hours, and could have resulted in the loss of precious data, causing huge difficulties for the passengers.
As a concerned citizen of Pakistan, it is my humble request to these riled individuals to please keep their protest within limits.
