Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday said that Pakistan is fast emerging on the global map as a country with strong macroeconomic indicators.
“We are putting in place a robust economic framework to steer Pakistan into the group of top progressing nations in the next decade,” the prime minister informed a group of visiting Qatari dignitaries at the PM House.
The prime minister invited the delegation to invest in the highly profitable hydro-power sector of Pakistan, which offers tremendous investment opportunities, a statement from the PM House said.
He said that the brotherly relations between the two countries will be further strengthened by increased economic ties.
Members of the delegation said that Pakistan was a different country under the present government and prime minister’s leadership had generated great interest in international investors’ community due to its transparency and investor-friendly policies.
“We are exploring opportunities of investment in various sectors in Pakistan and have received support from everyone,” the delegation members told the prime minister.
