NEPRA reduces power tariff by Rs 2.06 per unit

The National Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has approved reduction in power tariff by Rs 2.06 per unit for the month of November.

The NEPRA took up for hearing an application filed by the Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) seeking reduction in power tariff for the month of November.

During the hearing, the NEPRA curtailed the tariff by Rs 2.06 per unit against fuel adjustment surcharge for the month of November keeping in view statistics presented by the CPPA. According to the NEPRA, the reduction in tariff will not be applicable to the consumers of K-Electric and domestic consumers using up to 300 units electricity per month.
