Capital Development Authority (CDA) Deputy Director Iftikhar Haider recorded his statement to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on an Rs4 million bribe scam on Monday.
Haider was caught red handed by NAB while accepting a bribe of Rs 4 million from a private shopping mall owner and was sent on a 14 day remand. During his remand, he confessed besides naming other CDA officials who were also allegedly involved in taking bribes. The NAB investigators also collected his cell phone data.
A senior NAB official on condition anonymity told Online that a total of 11 CDA officials including ex-chairman CDA have been involved in the bribe scandal. NAB has also obtained their mobile data and started investigation.
