Mega development projects will change Pak’s destiny, says Mamnoon

President Mamnoon Hussain on Monday said that the present government has set in motion the development of several mega energy and power development projects that are set to take the country forward on the path of economic stability and prosperity.

Addressing the 52nd passing out parade of Pakistan Marine Academy, the president said that mega projects, including China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), construction of motorways, Diamer Bhasha and Dasu dams, etc., were going to change the destiny of the whole country.

“The country is fast becoming a significant hub of development activities in the whole region. The Central Asian countries (CARs) are also taking keen interest to link with the CPEC,” he added.

He also congratulated the 288th batch of cadets that were passing out, and expressed hope that they would play their part in the country’s prosperity.

He asked the whole nation to back development projects, and said that no project belonged to any one particular political party.

He expressed hope that with the completion of these new power projects, load shedding would end by 2018.

The president said that the Zarb-e-Azb operation would continue until the elimination of every terrorist, similarly, the Karachi operation would also continue.

“The young generations are future of the country and they must discharge their responsibility to attain progress and prosperity,” he added.

The president also urged the nation to eradicate corruption from society.
