Dengue fever cases have dropped significantly in Karachi with fall of temperature as only 13 such cases were reported across the city in a week.
As per weekly report released by the Dengue Prevention and Control Programme Sindh, total 3,676 dengue fever cases were reported from Sindh province since 1st January 2015 to date, out of which 3,593 were detected from Karachi. As many as 11 people died of dengue fever in the city this year.
A total of 15 more dengue fever cases emerged across the province from 21 to 27th December 2015, out of which 13 were reported from Karachi and two from Hyderabad.
Out of total 3,676 dengue fever reported cases, 3,593 were reported from Karachi, 36 from Hyderabad, nine from Larkana, eight from Mirpurkhas, seven from Umerkot, five from Jamshoro, four from Shaheed Benazirabad, three each from Thatta, Sukkur and Ghotki, two from Sanghar, one each from Shikarpur, Badin and Jaccobabad .
