Afghanistan will raise 7,000-member security force to guard Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline project.
According to a report, Afghan Mines and Petroleum Minister Daud Shah Saba told the Upper House in Kabul that the force would provide security for implementation and demining the route.
Saba told the House that the procurement process for demining would be completed next month and practical work on clearing the pipeline’s route would be started in April.
