The police foiled a terror bid as it found a bomb which was later defused by Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS). As many as 20 suspects were arrested besides recovery of arms and drugs during search operation here on Sunday.
According to details, unknown miscreants had planted a bomb weighing four kilogram outside residence of a trader named Asif, located in Lucky Dheri area, Gul Bahar police station jurisdiction in Peshawar which was spotted by locals who informed police.
The police along with BDS personnel reached the scene which defused the bomb. Police said that the trader received threats from extortionists and the terror attempt seems an outcome of the same dispute.
Meanwhile, police conducted search operation against the outlaws in Pishtakhara area of Peshawar during which it arrested 20 suspects including three Afghan nationals and recovered four pistols, one SMG, hundreds of bullets and drugs from their possession.
