Roads won’t be closed for PM protocol: Imran Khan

Claiming that VIP culture has been ended in KPK, Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, on Sunday vowed that roads would not be closed even for Prime Minister’s protocol in KPK.

“Despite the fact that I’m facing life threats, we can’t put life of people in danger by leaving them waiting for hours at traffic signals due to our security protocols,” he said while speaking to media persons in Karachi.

Khan, who later left for airport without any VIP protocol, claimed his party government has eliminated ‘VIP culture’ in KPK, and vowed that roads would not be closed in KPK even during Prime Minister’s visit to KPK.

Relying to a question about protest of some disgruntled party workers yesterday, Khan said the PTI activists vent their anger in the wake of nominations of office-bearers for upcoming intra-party polls. Khan also admitted mistakes in past elections in his party, and said “we have learnt a lesson

Earlier Imran Khan met enraged Karachi supporters Sunday and assured them not to repeat the mistakes in intra-party elections.

Talking about party elections, he said that the workers would elect their leaders by themselves. He said no mistakes would be repeated in this regard.
