Modi-Nawaz meet positive if India changes aggressive attitude: Shujaat

Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid chief and former prime minister Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has said if aggressive attitude of India changes after the meeting between prime ministers of India and Pakistan in Jaati Umra, then this meeting can be termed as “positive”.

Responding to questions from journalists about the meeting, Shujaat said that for making this meeting positive, it was important that India changed its present attitude, stopped discriminatory and provocative firing along the Line of Control and Working Boundary while claimed lives of innocent civilians and soldiers. He said India should also stop sponsoring terrorism in Karachi, Balochistan and FATA through RAW and other agencies.

In reply to a question about the allegations levelled by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Kabul, the PML-Q chief said that “we should also keep this in mind that a strong foundation for Indo-Pakistan relations cannot be constructed on allegations which Modi had levelled against Pakistan and emitted venom against Pakistan in Afghanistan just two hours prior to his meeting with Nawaz Sharif”.

Shujaat wished Nawaz Sharif had also got a Quaid-e-Azam birth anniversary cake cut by Modi prior to his own birthday.
