Former chief justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry on Saturday announced the launch of his party named ‘Pakistan Justice Democratic Critic Party’.

Speaking on the occasion, Iftikhar Chaudhry said he would welcome only those people in his party who are not corrupt. He said the prime goal of his party is to resolve the problems of a common man.

Addressing the gathering, Chaudhry said that former president General (r) Pervez Musharraf had hurled unfounded allegations against him and that he is ashamed of ratifying the Musharraf imposed martial law in the country. The former CJP said he was asked to tender resignation but he refused to do so by denying all the accusations.

He said during his meeting with Pervez Musharraf not a single person spoke in his favour.

Iftikhar Chaudhry said his son Arsalan Iftikhar had never even seen the property tycoon Malik Riaz and that his son was held to account before a commission of the Supreme Court.
