A large number of people, especially from the urban areas of Punjab and Karachi, travelled to Murree and its adjoining areas to enjoy the snowfall.
Hundreds of tourists from different parts of the country visited Murree to enjoy the beautiful snowy hills. The resorts including Bhurban, New Murree, Kashmir Point, Pindi Point, Mall Road and Ayubia were packed with tourists. Galyaat, Hazara and Bhurbhan received more snow as compared to Murree city. All restaurants were packed with tourists.
Meanwhile, Met office has forecasts mainly cold and dry weather in most parts of the country during next 24 hours. Light foggy conditions would continue over plain areas of Punjab, Peshawar and Sukkur divisions during morning hours. Weather remained cold and dry in most parts of the country during last 24 hours. Rain with snowfall over the hills occurred at isolated places in Malakand, Hazara divisions and Kashmir.
The lowest temperatures were recorded in Kalat, Kalam -12°C, Astore -11°C, Skardu -10°C, Parachinar, Rawalakot -8°C, Gupis -7°C, Dir, Dalbandin, Quetta -6°C, Malam Jabba, Murree -5°C, Abbottabad -4°C and Gilgit -3°C.
