The Punjab government has released Rs 100 million for repair and rehabilitation of 203 schools affected by flood in the district.
Talking to the media on Thursday, Executive Officer Finance and Planning Tariq Lak said that repair and rehabilitation schemes for 203 flood affected schools had been approved and now the funds had also been released.
He said that the 203 schools included 55 in Tehsil Jhang, 70 in Tehsil Athara Hazari and 78 schools in Tehsil Ahmedpur Sial. He said that work on these schools would be started soon.
