Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif paid a surprise visit to Police Station Ghalib Market without any protocol on Thursday and reviewed the situation.
The chief minister also visited the state-of-the-art operation room set up in the offices of SP Model Town in Gulberg. The operation room has been set up under the smart policing strategy and is linked to complete computerised data of Model Town Division.
The chief minister reached the office of SP Model Town without prior intimation and inspected the operation room. He talked to officials present there. Speaking on the occasion, Sharif said that crime could be controlled and police performance improved through use of modern technology. He called upon the police to make use of available information technology resources and implement modern policing methods in order to eliminate crime in the country.
