Fear spread among the resident after six dead bodies of members of the same family were recovered from a house on Wednesday.
SHO Afzal Qureshi told media personnel that bodies of six people belonging to the same family, including a couple, their three daughters and a son were found inside their house in Sharipura area of Multan.
The bodies were shifted to hospital where according to medical reports the deaths took place due to eating poisonous food. Head of the family, Muhammad Ishfaq was a labourer.
The police collected the samples of the food and sent it to the laboratory for testing. Police are also investigating whether the poisoning was intentional or accidental.
