Xiwang and Tabaq restaurants sealed for poor cleanliness

 

Provincial Minister for Food Bilal Yasin paid surprise visit to Bandu Khan Restaurant Liberty, Chinese Restaurant Xiwang and Tabaq Restaurant Gulberg and sealed Xiwang and Tabaq Restaurants over poor cleanliness and use of substandard materials

The Minister expressed satisfaction over the cleanliness in Bandu Khan Restaurant Liberty. Talking to the media-men, Bilal Yasin said that due to government steps, the hotels had adopted a higher standard of cleanliness which had resulted in provision of clean and quality food to the people while the hotel industry had also benefitted because of rising public confidence. He said that tourism would be promoted because of the availability of quality food at restaurants in the city.

The minister said that on the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, the Food department was implementing Food Authority laws for ensuring availability of high quality food to the people. He said that international standard of cleanliness was being adopted by hotels and restaurants which had not only raised the standard of restaurant industry but the number of restaurants had also increased. He said that it was the responsibility of the Food department to fully implement laws for providing quality edible items to the masses and no negligence would be tolerated in this regard. Later, the minister inspected food laboratory at Cooper road and witnessed the method of inspection of edible items.
