Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has said that the government will add 10,000 MW of electricity in the national grid during its tenure.
Addressing a function in connection with Orange Line Metro Train project on Monday, he said work is underway on power projects of 24,000 MW.
The minister described the Orange Line Metro Train project as historic. He said under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, the country is moving forward in the right direction. He said economic indicators have been changed from minus to plus as a result of steps taken by the government.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal said China-Pakistan Economic Corridor will usher in a new era of progress and prosperity for all the provinces of the country. He said energy projects being implemented under the CPEC, will help overcome shortage of energy in the country.
