The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) killed a terrorist and seized a vehicle laden with arms and explosives in Sarjani Town on Monday.
According to details, the CTD, in an operation in Sarjani Town, exchanged fire with a band of terrorists as a result of which one terrorist was fatally wounded. His other accomplices however managed to escape, leaving behind a vehicle stashed with arms and explosives. The wounded terrorist later expired at a hospital.
SSP for Sarjani area Naveed Khawaja said the terrorist, killed in the trade of fire, had masterminded a bomb blast near Aziz Bhatti Park in 2008.
