Starfish-Pakistan simultaneously Tuesday organised an event of Eid Milad-un -Nabi and Christmas get together to foster Christian-Muslim relations and candle-light vigil in memory of the young APS students at St Anthony’s High School.
Barrister Dr Afzal Javaid was the chief guest.
The Starfish-Pakistan provides educational facilities to down-trodden and deprived children in Pakistan. The event was organised by Starfish Pakistan National Director Anser Javed.
Prominent speakers included Suhyel Umar, ex-director Iqbal Academy Pakistan, Sheikh Khalid Mohammad Al Mozrouei of Abu Dhabi and Dr Charles M Ramsey, FC College. “We aim to foster peace, happiness and harmony across religions and communities across Pakistan. That is why today we are here to join hands together in prayers for Pakistan and celebrate Eid Milad-un-Nabi and Christmas,” said Barrister Dr Afzal Javaid.
“We shall stand by each other through thick and thin, with our eyes firmly focused on our ultimate objective of developing religious harmony through education and interfaith initiatives,” said Anser Javed.
