The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday ordered to strictly follow the ban imposed on publicly sale of security forces’ uniform.
The hearing of the case was held in LHC during which the plaintiff’s counsel Ishtiaq Chaudhry stated that the open sale of uniforms of Pakistan Army, Rangers and police has increased the terrorism and street crimes in the country. He said that the department concerned is not taking any step despite court’s order.
During the hearing, the Punjab government’s lawyer told the court that the authorities are already working on the issue and taking stern action against the violators. The court raged over the federation for not submitting reply and lashed out at the government for showing inefficiency in this matter.
Earlier, the LHC summoned reply from provincial government and Interior Ministry in 15 days over the open sale of security forces uniforms in various markets.
The petitioner took the stance that due to the public sale of the uniforms, incidents of terrorism are taking place rapidly.
