At least 19 people, including seven children and eight women, were injured in a cylinder explosion at a hospital in Swat on Tuesday.
According to sources, the incident took place in Saidu Sharif hospital in Swat district.
They said an oxygen cylinder exploded in the medical facility’s children ward, wounding 19 people. The injured were immediately provided medical treatment and were said to be out of danger, they added. The explosion was so powerful that it shattered the windowpanes of the children ward.
According to the doctors, most of the wounded suffered burn injuries.
