A groom, his bride and four others were killed in a road accident near Sukkur By-pass late on Sunday night.
According to details, Abbasi family was heading to their house from Shikarpur after attending the walima ceremony when their car collided with a speedy passenger coach coming from Peshawar to Karachi, resulting in the deaths groom Usman Abbasi, his wife Bushra Abbasi, Huma Abbasi, sister of the groom Kiran Abbasi, sister of the bride Savera, and eight-year-old Hassan. Adnan Abbasi was also hurt seriously.
Site area police shifted the bodies and injured to a hospital. The passenger driver had fled after the incident. The coach was impounded by the police however.
The bodies were later handed over to the heirs. The condition of the injured youth was stated to be critical.
