This refers to a recent advertisement by a leading telecom company published in national dailies on Sunday. I wonder, if, at all, any ethics, code of conduct, rules and regulations and censor policy is followed during the publication and broadcasting of ads in Pakistani media. In the said ad, an Indian model was wearing extremely provocative clothes and was photographed in a highly objectionable and inappropriate position. Adding insult to injury, the said ad was carried on the front page of leading national newspapers. The printing of this kind of stuff is not only destroying the moral character of youth, it makes mockery of the censor laws in Pakistan. It is high time the authorities concerned and the media owners should wake up to this kind of obscenity. Being a woman I can say it is an insult to me and all the women.
