Principal Post Graduate Medical Institute Prof Khalid Mahmood inaugurated anti polio campaign Monday at Lahore General Hospital by administering polio drops to children.
He directed staff concerned to discharge their duties and responsibilities with dedication in order to rid all children under 5 from this disease.
He said that parents, civil society, teachers and media can play pivotal role in eradication of this disease, therefore, he said, “We all must put our share to save our coming generation from this menace.”
The principal also stressed to sensitise masses about the future complications resulted from polio. He also directed nursing staff and paramedics to create maximum awareness about the preventive measures against polio so as to secure our coming generation from all types of such disease.
