MQM leader’s bail extended in Dr Asim case

 

 

An anti-terrorism court on Saturday extended interim bail of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Rauf Siddiqui till January 2, 2016.

The MQM leader is under probe in Dr Asim case relating to corruption and terror financing.

During the hearing, DSP Altaf Hussain told the court that no evidence had been found against the MQM leader. He also submitted his report to the court.

Following his arguments, the court extended Siddiqui’s bail.

The MQM leader is facing charges that criminals were provided treatment at Dr Asim’s hospital on his directions.

Besides, investigations against him are also underway in a hate speeches case. The hearing was adjourned till January 2.
