Tableau competition at RAC pays tribute to APS martyrs

In connection with Army Public School Shuhada, Peshawar week, Rawalpindi Arts Council arranged a tableau competition among school students here on Friday.

Director Colleges Prof Humayyun Iqbal accompanied by Naheed Manzoor and Resident Director Waqar Ahmed was chief guest of the ceremony. Senior poet Aftab Zia and Tanvir Nusrat adjudged the competition in which Joint Staff Public School secured first position, Bright Land Public School got second, and Dr A.Q Khan received third while Anglo-Arabic Public School remained fourth.

Addressing the prize distribution ceremony, Prof Humayyun Iqbal said that those people who create obstacle for education are not well-wishers of Islam and Pakistan. He said any religion did not allow killing the children at any cost. Holy Prophet (PBUH) loved children and Islam gives lesson of Peace. He added that without education nothing could be understood.
