Qadri to address Milad conference on Dec 23

Pakistan Awami Tehreek Chairman Dr Tahirul Qadri has left Canada on his way back to Pakistan and will arrive in the early hours of December 22.

The PAT chief will stay in the United States for a medical check-up before he boards a Turkish Airlines flight for Lahore. All preparations are in place for a rousing welcome for Qadri at the Lahore airport, according to a press release issued by PAT Secretary Information Noor Ullah Sadiqui.
Briefing the newsmen on Saturday, Noor said the PAT chief will address the World Milad Conference being organised by PAT at the Minar-e-Pakistan on the night of December 23.
He said the PAT chief will chair a meeting of the core committee of the party the next day to chalk out the future plan of action against the rulers with regard to the case of the Model Town incident in which 14 innocent PAT workers were killed by the police.

Meanwhile, the PAT spokesman has in the strongest possible terms condemned the police action against the caravan of senior PAT leader Dr. Hassan Mohiyuddin Qadri, which was on its way to Lodharian.
The spokesman said that the police should serve the people instead of becoming the bodyguard of the rulers. He said the rulers are using the police to ensure the victory of their candidate.
He said we are constantly informing the Election Commission of the irregularities being committed by the PML-N candidate and his main supporters and the police, but it is sad that the ECP is unmoved and has not acted on any of our complaints.
