Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Saturday chaired a high-level meeting in Lahore to discuss different development projects and security in Punjab.
Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and senior provincial officials from Counter Terrorism Department attended the meeting.
On the occasion, the Punjab Home Secretary and Inspector General of Police briefed the participants about the law and order situation in the province.
Nawaz directed the authorities concerned to mobilise all resources to maintain law and order in the province. He also directed to expedite implementation of the National Action Plan (NAP) to counter terrorism.
The prime minister stated that protection of public lives and property is the government’s top priority.
