SSU commandos flag march to show solidarity with martyred children

The commandos of the special security unit conducted a flag march on Wednesday on the first anniversary of martyred children of Army Public School and went round various areas, including premises of schools throughout Karachi, to show solidarity with martyred children and give gesture of secure environment to the citizens.

The special security unit is the pioneer police unit where a-day long hostile environment awareness training programme is being organised regularly to create awareness about the methods required to be adopted in case of any emergency situation. After the Peshawar incident, a number of students/other personalities of schools, college, universities, media group, and government officers had been provided awareness about the precautionary measures to be adopted in case of any terrorist attack.

The commandos during the flag march expressed their solidarity with bereaved families and paid rich tributes to the sacrifices of shuhada (martyrs) Army Public School Peshawar who laid down their lives in a tragic terrorists attack. They said they were adequately equipped and well–trained to foil the nefarious designs of coward elements.

On the directives of Home Minister Sohail Anwar Siyal, Qura`an Khawani was held at the special security unit headquarters, paid tributes to shuhda and prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed souls in eternal peace and also give courage to the bereaved families to bear this irreparable loss.
